Lessons in Mis-Creation? - 05-16-2012So much has happened since I left my beloved Prescott in mid-April. It's hard to imagine that I've been in Colorado Springs a whole month! Wow! Where does the time go? I've been pondering this observation and so many more since my arrival here. I've been particularly focused on what it really means to "create our own reality" and to "bust loose from our illusions." Most of us New Age/Metaphysical types have long embraced the idea that we create our own reality. But examining that concept further - what does it really mean? Does it mean we can create what we truly want in our life? If so, how do we do it? Some new age teachers say we can do it through focused intentions. Others suggest, visualizing our creations coming true. More propose we repeat positive affirmations while maintaining a feeling of love in our hearts. Still others, inform us to change our thoughts to ones that feel better? Maybe, creating our reality implies something radically different. A friend of mine recently introduced me to the book "Busting Loose from the Money Game" which takes the concept of creating our reality to a whole new level. The basic premise confirms what age old mystics have shared with us for thousands of years - this world is an illusion. Or as Shakespeare said "All the world is a stage and all men and women are merely players." Simply meaning YOU are the only one here and everyone and everything around you is a mirror of yourself or an actor you've created to play a role for you to learn more about yourself. Essentially, as the author says, we are here "to play the human game." While we have all heard the concept of living in an illusion before, it is rather challenging to accept full responsibility for who you really are and what you've created in your life. What it implies is that you are "The Creator" - the most powerful aspect of God incarnate - with all the same powers and abilities as our "Source" and our ability to create IS without limitation. It is, in fact, infinite. So why do we create all the chaos in our lives? The short answer could be "for fun" - because this illusion is really a game for the growth of our higher conscious self. Are you triggered by what I've said yet? Good! So am I. After much soul searching, I finally got the message I was meant to move to Colorado Springs - not Denver as I originally thought. The move was flawless until I arrived here and then everything "went wrong." Practically every appliance in my new townhouse began to malfunction - the garage door, water heater, phones, dishwasher, toaster oven, refrigerator, microwave, cellphone. It was literally one thing after the other as soon as the boxes were being unpacked and has continued to date. Needless to say, I began to question my guidance on moving to Colorado Springs and to this particular house. Did I get it wrong? Why were so many things not working for me? How did this all happen? And of course "What did I do to deserve this?" There was an explicit assumption on my part that by being guided to move here, everything would simply flow for me. After all, that's what happened when I was guided to Prescott. As I asked these questions, no answer was forthcoming but my incredible creations continued. Within the first week of my arrival, I found a new Holistic Healing Center and eagerly helped them open for business. I worked there for weeks only to be asked to leave because my work with the angels and ascended masters "offended" the conservative Christian Fundamentalist client base who apparently believe ALL angels are fallen. My first reaction was "What the ?*@#$?" Once again, I began questioning my guidance as well as my creations. I didn't understand why all this was happening. As I have delved deeper in the abyss of my "mis-creations," I began to realize what was sorely missing from my experience was love and appreciation for myself and my creations. It became painfully clear that my continued judgment and negative perceptions of what was unfolding around me was only perpetuating similar experiences. The lightness and excitement of moving to a brand new place was overcome by frustration and doubt. I needed to reverse this limited way of thinking before I could make progress here. So I've begun to regroup and refocus on my ultimate purpose - my mission - which has always been to be a Being of Love and Light for others - as well as for myself. Instead of ranting and raving about people with personal ideologies which are the polar opposite of my own, I am learning to love them as they are. Realizing, they are mirror reflections of my own limited belief systems. I am learning from my own limitations and certainly experiencing heightened forms of spiritual "growing pains" - which include unique forms of physical and emotional pain as well. While I haven't emerged from the chrysalis yet, I can feel my wings growing stronger every day as I push against the confines holding my Spirit. I am confident I will emerge into a radiant new being with even more love, light and healing power to share with the world. I am honored and blessed to be here and be a part of this magnificent creation - and I am blessed that you are a part of that creation too!
