Message from Mother Mary - 04-26-2010Seeing in the Present MomentWhile I have worked with Mother Mary for quite some time, I only recently was inspired to channel messages from her. A client came in for a reading and Mother Mary came up in conversation. All of a sudden I felt her come into me in a very powerful way. She then gave the reading directly. Later that evening, she hosted the "Weekly Messages from the Angels and Ascended Masters" event. Her guidance seems very practical and her cadence is much slower than the other guides I work with. I'm looking forward to offering you more messages from her as time goes on. - Sandra
Beloved Ones, We encourage you to begin to see the world around you with new eyes. Not all that appears around you is really as you see it. Many of you too easily focus on the wars, the strife and the seeming degradation of humanity. Yet this is all an illusion created by your lesser self. Stop focusing on events that emotionally drain you. Stop putting your energy towards situations which are out of your control. None of these situations serve the essence of who you are. The essence of who you are is absolute Love. Only when you are coming from your heart space can you create an unparalleled destiny for yourselves. Only when you see through the passion of your awakened life can changes to your world be realized. These changes will not come from focusing on the issues, studying them, preparing briefings, summaries and reports about them. All authentic change is inspired only from within each person’s heart. You have heard this all before from many of the great teachers and Masters who walked this earth. They have been offering this guidance and wisdom to you for many millenniums. If there was ever a time to follow their teachings, it would be NOW - in this very moment. Many of you hear what we are saying and yet you counter with thoughts such as “How can I live in the moment when I have a job to do and bills to pay?” What you’re really asking is “How can I stay within when I constant demands on me from without?” You may even think that these teachings don’t have a place in modern life. That only ascetics or mystics could practice such austere beliefs. In truth, all people have the inherent capacity to live in the now - at all times - by simply focusing on what is before them with their full attention. In terms of your employment, this simple approach could help you maximize your efficiency and productivity. Something your entire organization and your customers could benefit from. For example, let’s say your boss told you he needed a detailed report on a project you were working on by 5:30 today. Many of you would panic or be greatly disturbed by such an impromptu request because your focus would be completely distracted from your regular function. Emotions could get heated. You might even hear yourself say things like “Doesn’t he know I have other things to do?”, or “Who does he think he is asking me to do this so late in the day?” Or other similar statements your ego mind might dream up. Not only might you have distracting thoughts, but you may create an environment filled with other distractions – co-workers who keep coming by your cubicle, a phone that won’t stop ringing and, of course, the incessant pressure to get your regular job done. “How can I write a detailed report in short notice under such conditions?” you may ask. We would point out to you that if you chose to focus on your newly appointed task without all the distractions, it would go so much smoother for you. You have several options from which to choose to help you focus. For example, you could immediately implement an action to prevent the phone from ringing while you are working on the requested report. You could send the phone to voice mail or ask the receptionist or your assistant to simply take messages. Similarly, to avoid disruptions from co-workers, you could work from a conference room or another work station where you will not be disturbed. You could even post a sign at your cubicle entrance that kindly asks that you not be disturbed during a specific time period. To calm your mind and lessen the extraneous thoughts, you only need to remind yourself that you know your employer is a reasonable person. You know that he cannot expect you to complete two important tasks at the same time. You understand that this project must be significant for him to ask you to do it in such a hurry. You acknowledge that this is not something he routinely asks you to do. You agree to accommodate his needs by doing your best to focus on the project at hand and meet his required deadline. By making these simple changes, you have honored yourself by ensuring you have a more comfortable working environment and positive mental attitude with which to focus your attention. By focusing directly on that which is in front of you, you have successfully allowed yourself to be in the now – to be fully present in the moment. This is all we are really asking you to do. Whether you are with friends, family or co-workers, the challenge and the opportunity is the same. Focus your attention in the most genuinely loving way toward the issue or task at hand. If it is your turn to watch the kids, make an agreement with them at the start of your time together to be there fully for each other. Mutually agree to not take phone calls, write text messages or emails that interfere with quality time together. Pull out some old game boards or, better yet, invent a new game together. As you encourage your children’s imagination you also benefit from thinking outside the box. Learn to see world events through the eyes of a child and feel what a difference it makes in your life. All these wonderful things can simply and naturally flow to you by simply shutting out the distractions of your world and focusing on enjoying the present moment. As you begin to shift your awareness to those you love and choose to create an environment that supports the love you are creating, your perception will change. You will begin to really appreciate those special moments in time that you have carved out to be with your loved ones. It won’t feel like such a burden to go pick up the kids and shuttle them somewhere. You will begin to appreciate your life in a new and expanded way. Similarly, make a commitment to be fully present to your friends and partners. Truly listen to what they have to say. Look them in the eye as they are sharing their life with you. Acknowledge both their pleasures and their pains. Then watch as the quality of your relationship soars and your friendships deepen - all because you allowed yourself to be fully present in the moment. As you continue to practice focusing your attention and energies on each person in your awareness now and continue to hold a loving space for them, as well as yourself, you will quickly begin to see the world from a more utopian perspective. Instead of seeing only wars and strife and inhumanity, you feel the heartfelt beauty of your relationships; the gratitude for all that life has to offer and the significance of the love that binds you to all others. Now, that is a world worth beholding and that is your world as you see it in the Now.
